Big-Screen VeggieTales Follow-Up Gets Green Light

With the big-screen success of Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie, Artisan’s FHE Pictures and Big Idea Prods. have announced that they will continue their relationship with The Bob And Larry Movie, slated for release in 2005.

Big Idea is in pre-production on next theatrical outing for the hugely popular home video series that employs singing and dancing CG vegetables to illustrate biblical stories and teachings. The Bob And Larry Movie will focus on how the tomato and cucumber met and got their start in show business. The film will also introduce human characters for the first time in VeggieTales history.

All computer animation, writing and music will again be created in-house at Big Idea’s studio in the Chicago area under the leadership of Big Idea chief creative officer, co-founder and ceo, Phil Vischer, co-founder and writer/director Mike Nawrocki and CG animation.

Jonah grossed more than $24 million at the box office and is expected to do brisk business on home video with its release in March 2003.
