Arc Productions — formerly Starz Animation — has signed with Paradigm for representation as it offers its visual effects and animation services for hire and develops its own intellectual properties.

The Toronto-based studio, which animated the recent hit feature film Gnomeo & Juliet, was purchased in April by a group of Canadian investors. The studio says in a release that it intends signing on with Paradigm will “expand  the studio’s profile in all its core areas of for-hire service as well as supporting its proprietary investment and IP projects.”

Gnomeo & Juliet, our fifth major animated feature in as many years, and the television ratings hit Camelot, our most recent VFX success, are examples of what we can achieve for our clients” said Jeff Young, an Arc veteran who was recently appointed president and COO of the renamed company. “Our new owners have refocused and re-energized the company. We will build on our hard earned reputation for delivering high quality, cost effective productions on time and on budget.”

“Paradigm is excited to welcome Arc Productions into our family of clients,” said Andrew Ruf on behalf of the agency. “Arc has tremendous expertise, an experienced management team and a solid track record in what is a very fast growing and lucrative part of the business. Their new ownership group has tremendous financial resources and a plan to expand their footprint in the business aggressively and strategically and we are thrilled to partner with them and confident that we can help them realize their goals.”
