There seems to be a lot of instant buzz surrounding LAIKA’s 2012 feature ParaNorman. The new international trailer, which surfaced on the web this week, seems to confirm everyone’s original feelings about the movie.

Slated for an August 17, 2012 release, the movie follows the adventures of a misunderstood young boy who can speak with the dead, take on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse. The 3-D movie is directed by Chris Butler and Sam Fell (Flushed Away, The Tale of Despereaux) from an original script by Butler. The amazing voice cast includes Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, John Goodman, Casey Affleck, Bernard Hill, Elaine Stritch and Jeff Garlin.
