The Visual Effects Society is accepting submissions through Nov. 30 for its annual Student Award, sponsored by Autodesk.

The award recognizes outstanding achievement in visual effects on projects created by a student or group of students attending an accredited school.

The winner will be honored live at the 9th annual VES Awards Show, set for Jan. 28 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. The prize includes free airfare and accommodations from anywhere in the world to attend the awards show, and one license of either the Autodesk Maya Entertainment Creation Suite Premium or the Autodesk 3ds Max Entertainment Creation Suite 3D visual effects software.

Rules and Procedures can be found at http://www.visualeffectssociety.com/ves-awards.

“We are very pleased to work with our partner, Autodesk, to be able to offer the opportunity to students around the globe to get their work out in front of the top visual effects mavens and executives in the world,” says Jeffrey A. Okun, chairman of the VES.  “It is something that should not be missed.”
