Vegas Ani Org Seeks Submissions for New Fest

January 29, 2004 by Chris Grove divider image

Las Vegas based Comic-Con, in association with cartoonmogul.com, is gearing up to host the inaugural The Big Cartoon Exhibition 2004 in late October. The non-competitive fest is designed to showcase cutting-edge animation from around the world.

Exhibit organizers are seeking animated film submissions (of any length) in all genre categories–traditional 2D animation, CG, Flash, stop-motion and experimental. They need material to fill a three day schedule of festival programming from October 29 -31. Organizers says that the non-competitive showcase will give animators and their art more exposure, as well as introduce the independent animation art-form to a broader mainstream audience. The event will take place at the Las Vegas Strip’s tony Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. Entry deadline is July 9, 2004.
