Tonight’s installment of the popular, quarterly State of the Industry panel discussions in Hollywood will focus on the future of television animation. Sponsored by The Animation Guild, Local 839, ASIFA-Hollywood, and Women in Animation Inc., the meeting will offer insight from working industry professionals.
The panel will consist of Lenora Hume, Sr. VP of Worldwide Productions, Walt Disney Television Animation; Brian Miller, Sr. VP/GM of Cartoon Network Studios; Mark Taylor, VP/GM, Nickelodeon Studios; Sidney Clifton, Sr. VP and head of development and programming at Film Roman; Cella Harris, Sr. VP of television production at Klasky-Csupo; Milt Vallas, president of MediaVision Animation; and Jenny Barbour, studio production manager at Adelaide Prods.
Moderated by ASIFA’s Bob Miller, the discussion will center on the latest and future trends in TV animation, as well as the state of the animation job market. Attendees will also get a look at which cartoon series are in development and production. Trailers from upcoming television productions will be screened.
The event is open to the public. Admission is $5 for ASIFA and WIA members; free for Animation Guild members; and $10 for non-members. Organizers ask that attendees bring membership cards for easy check-in.
