Organizers of Cartoon Master Finance have announced the roster of industry professionals lined up to speak at this year’s event, taking place June 22-23 in Barcelona, Spain. The conference will take stock of the latest evolutions in animation as presenters examine the trends that will affect the future of the business in terms of funding and income.
As the number of broadcast and new-media outlets continues to expand, producers are seeing less funding from broadcasters, making this year’s Cartoon Master Finance particularly important, according to organizers. To help content providers explore ways to increase financing possibilities and revenues, the program will feature words of wisdom from broadcast execs Dominique Poussier with TF1 in France and Frank Dietz of Super RTL. TV3 Catalunya will also have an expert on hand to discuss financing in the changing climate of broadcast television.
Also being represented are distributors DIC Ent., Motion Pictures and Dargaud Distribution; and production entities Icon Animation, Alphanim, Xilam, Dupuis Audivisuel and Heok, Line Thinker. In addition, various companies and tax shelters will present information on public and private funding.
Examples of current contracts will be handed out to participants of the 2006 Cartoon Master. The deadline for registration is June 12. A brochure and registration form are available online at www.cartoon-media.be.
