REDCAT, CalArt’s downtown L.A. center for the contemporary arts, will be presenting the 11th annual REDCAT International Children’s Film Festival from Saturday, April 23 to Sunday, May 7, 2016. With three different programs per day, presented over three weekends, the RICFF features an exciting mix of live-action and animated shorts for audiences of all ages hailing from all around the world — and tickets are just $5.

Taking place at the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater, the programs include:

Explore Galore (April 23, May 1, 12 p.m. & May 7, 3 p.m.) An all-animated selection of wacky, sweet and silly films offering fantastic adventures and a feast for the sense.

Magic Potion (April 23 & 30, 1:30 p.m.) For ages 5 and up, these shorts are full of “abracadabra” moments.

Adventurama (April 23 & 24, 3 p.m.) For ages 7 and up, these shorts take viewers into a journey into the wildest depths of the imagination.

Imagine That (April 24, May 1 & May 7, 1:30 p.m.) For ages 5 and up, peek inside this cinematic cabinet of curiosities and be inspired by the mind-blowing melange of images.
