Blue Ant International, a transatlantic content distribution division of Blue Ant Media, is bringing an expanded catalog of new original content and third-party programming to the MIPTV market — including premium adult animation series Gary and His Demons. The company is shopping more than 450 hours of new programming across factual entertainment, nature & wildlife, high-impact documentaries, and scripted & digital studios.
“We’ve ramped up our investments in premium content while also diversifying into new genres. Our goal is to broaden our offering for top-tier international buyers seeking a wide range of fresh and distinct programming,” said Solange Attwood, EVP, Blue Ant International. “Blue Ant International is also heading to MIPTV in active pursuit of new co-productions with world-class producers and international partnerships.”
Part of its Scripted & Digital Studios offerings, Gary and His Demons (8 x 30 HD | 16 x 11’ HD) is an adult-targeted, 2D animated comedy about a cantankerous, aging demon slayer who has nothing left to lose. Burdened by his “chosen one” status and backed by a team of specialists he can’t relate to, Gary struggles to keep interest in the Earth-saving duty he never asked for and doesn’t want. The title is produced by Look Mom! Productions, part of the Blue Ant Media Canada Network.
Based at Stand R8.D7, other highlights of Blue Ant’s largely live-action MIPTV catalog include factual series The Weather Files (8 x 60’), Paranormal Survivor S4 (10 x 60’), Brojects: Built for the Weekend (6 x 30’), Best Cake Wins (10 x 30’) and Lakefront Luxury (10 x 30’); documentaries The First World War: The People’s Story (3 x 60’) and I Am War (60’); nature series Africa’s Hunters (6 x 48’), Monkey Island (3 x 60’), Hope for Wildlife (26 x 30’ | 13 x 60’ | 78 x 60’); and digital studios short-form Family of Champions (5 x 10’).
