Maya & Miguel Join Move It! Fitness Campaign

Maya & Miguel, the animated stars of the popular PBS Kids Go! TV series, are heading up a weeklong national campaign aimed at encouraging children to exercise.

Called Move It with Maya & Miguel, the event is set for Sept. 20-28 and is part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign against childhood obesity.

As the event’s ‘spokeskids,’ the animated characters will encourage children to eat and play healthy in seven episodes that will air on PBS Kids Go! The episodes will focus on decorating, getting involved in school activities, playing soccer and other games, helping neighbors, spending time with friends, and planning parties.

Maya & Miguel debuted in 2004 and is now in its sixth season on PBS KIDS GO!
