Kung Fu Panda 2 is getting a big send off from DreamWorks Animation with a premiere and press junket during the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, Variety reports.

Though it won’t be an official part of the festival like the first Kung Fu Panda — it screened out of competition back in 2008 — the move will give the international press assembled for the fest a high-profile chance to see the complete film and interview the filmmakers and cast.

Kung Fu Panda 2 is set to open first in the U.S., on May 26, followed by a rollout in international markets. It is scheduled to begin playing in most European markets in early to mid-June.
