Fantasy Followers Drawn to L.A.’s Wizard World

Once the province of young children, the comic book world continues its phenomenal growth in the adult demographic. Case in point: This St. Patrick’s Day in Los Angeles, Wizard World rolls out the red carpet at the Los Angeles Convention Center for three days of celebrities, comic books, collectibles, toys and Anime.

Organizers call the confab ‘a family-friendly pop culture extravaganza’ with a host of celebrities slated to appear.

Fans will have the chance to interact with entertainment industry luminaries, including special guests Kevin Smith & Jason Mewes (Clerks 2, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back), Shawn Wayans & Marlon Wayans (co-creators of Super Bad James Dynomite and writers/stars of Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2), Efran Ramirez (Napolean Dynamite), Kane (WWE, See No Evil), Charisma Carpenter (BTVS; Veronica Mars), Clare Kramer (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Andy Hallet (Angel), Ray Park (Star Wars: Episode 1), Daniel Logan (Star Wars: Episode 2), Sala Baker (Chronicles of Narnia) and Damon Lindelof (Co-creator of Lost) Comic industry notables Jeph Leob (Ultimates Vol. 3), Joe Quesada (Daredevil: Father), Jim Lee (All-Star: Batman & Robin), Marc Silverstri (Hunter-Killer), Mike Turner (Soulfire), Mark Waid (Legion of Super Heroes), Tim Sale (CW: When in Rome) and many more will also be on hand throughout the weekend.
