DreamWorks’ ‘Dragon’ Wins Humane Society Genesis Award

DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon has added yet another notch in its awards-tally belt, taking home the best feature film award at the Humane Society of the United States’ 25h annual Genesis Awards.

The award is presented to the feature film that presents a message of animal rights. Dragon beat out The Switch for the honor.

An episode of Fox’s The Simpsons, titled “The Squirt and the Whale,” was nominated for the Sid Caesar Comedy Award, which went to Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report.

The awards were presented Saturday at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza hotel in Century City. The ceremony will be broadcast April 30 on Animal Planet.
