Coraline’s Selick to Give NAB Keynote

Henry Selick, director of the 3-D stop-motion animated feature Coraline, will be a keynote speaker at the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas.

Selick will speak on how digital technology has helped to revitalize the handcrafted approach of stop-motion animation in a session set for the afternoon of Monday, April 20.

Coraline is based on a short novel by popular author Neil Gaiman, and is the first stop-motion animated film to be filmed in 3-D. The film opened Feb. 6 to positive reviews and has earned $53.4 million at the box office through Feb. 22.
