Cartoon Movie Picks 50 Features for Its Lyons Debut

Cartoon Movie, a co-production forum for animated features, has selected 50 projects for its first edition in Lyons, France.

Among the finished European animated movies screening at the event this year are Cartoon Saloon’s Brendan and the Secret of Kells (Ireland), Art and Animation Studio’s Goat Story (Czech Republic), Toons ‘n’ Tales’ Jasper: Journey to the End of the World (Germany/France/Romania), Folimage’s Mia and the Migoo (France), Crone Film’s Sunshine Barry and the Disco Worms (Denmark/Germany), Perro Verde/Green Moon/Sola Media’s The Missing Lynx (Spain) and A.Film’s The Trip to Saturn (Denmark).

The event, set for March 4-6, made its selection from 77 submissions, and will feature participation for the first time from the gaming industry. The event is organized by CARTOON with the support of the MEDIA Programme of the European Union, the CNC (Centre national de la cin’matographie), the Rh’ne-Alpes Region and Greater Lyons, in collaboration with the Cluster Imaginove in Lyons.
