Brazil’s Animage Festival Seeks Short-Film Submissions

The 4th edition of the Animage International Animation Festival of Pernambuco — set for Sept. 26-30 in Brazil — is open for registration and seeking submissions of animated films no longer than 30 minutes completed since January 2011.

Deadline for submissions is July 31, with entry details and forms available online at www.animagefestival.com.

The competitive screening will award  cash prizes and trophies to the best animated short films in four categories: Best Short Film, Best Short for Children, Best Brazilian Short Film, Best Short (Audience Awards).

Awards also will be presented for Best Director, Best Script, Best Art Direction, Best Technics and Best Sound.

The festival also features noncompetitive screenings, special screenings, lectures, debates and workshops about animation techniques.
