The Hollywood Film Festival will host the world premiere of Attila and the Great Blue Bean, a new animated film from veteran TV animation director Kent Butterworth. The independently produced 2D family feature will screen on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. at the ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood.
In the darkest of the Dark Ages, Attila and his Fellowship of the Bean embark on a quest to find the most magical legume in the entire world, an excellent source of fiber that will give Attila great strength. Along the way, our hero must battle monsters, witches and Drag’n Queens, fighting side by side with the snobbishly aristocratic Princess Gwendoline, with whom he shares a mystical birthmark that will lead them to their treasure.
Attila is distributed by Marvista Ent., which previously released Phil Nibbelink’s independent 2D-animated feature, Romeo & Juliet: Sealed with a Kiss. That film ended up playing in a handful of theaters in Los Angeles and Northern California before making its way to home video. Tickets for Attila and the Great Blue Bean are available at www.arclightcinemas.com.
