Argentina’s Expotoons Ready to Roll in November

The 2011 Edition of Argentine animation festival Expotoons will take place Nov. 29- Dec. 1st in Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires. Now celebrating its 5th year, this dynamic animation event will offer the usual mix of screenings, panels and opportunities for animation industry players to pitch their projects to producers and broadcasters from around the world.

This year’s edition will feature keynotes by Nelson Shin, president of Korea’s Akom Productions and ASIFA International and Sayoko Kinoshita, director of the Hiroshima Animation Festival. Last year’s edition of the festival attracted over 3,000 attendees and 485 animation entries from 40 countries. Professionals from Disney, DreamWorks, Toon Boom, Autodesk, Discovery Kids, Ubisoft and MTV were among the panelists featured at the 2010 edition.
