Animex Calls for Student Entries

Sponsored by the University of Teesside in the U.K., The Animex Student Animation Awards are dedicated to the promotion of the art of animation and celebrates the works of students worldwide. Entries are now being accepted for the 2004/2005 edition.

Animated projects produced between June 1, 2003, and Oct. 1, 2004, are eligible to compete for awards in the categories 3D Computer Animation, 2D Computer Animation, 3D Computer Animation for Games, 3D Character Animation, Animation Stills, Webtoons, Visual Effects, Experimental Animation, Editing, Sound for Animation. In addition, the organization will present the Newcomer Award, and the Audience Award will be chosen by attendees at next year’s Animex conference.

Last year saw 350 entries representing 25 countries. The deadline for this year’s entries is Oct. 1, 2004. Rules, regulations and a downloadable entry form can be found at www.animex.net/awards. No registration fee is required.
