The Awards Ceremony at Encounters also bestowed two nominations, including a Cartoon d’Or nomination for David Dell’Edera for his suspenseful digital animation Balcony, which won a Jury Award at Annecy this year.

The Europe Film Association nomination went to Issa Touma, Thomas Vroege and Floor van der Meulen’s 9 Days from My Window in Aleppo.
