Digital Domain Deploys D2 Software Inc.

Digital Domain dives into the software market with the launch of its wholly-owned subsidiary D2 Software Inc. The new arm was created to develop, market and support digital image processing software based on Digital Domain’s proprietary technology, which has garnered two Academy Awards.

D2 Software will be headed up by Digital Domain’s COO, Brad Call, and vp of the digital studio, Michael Taylor.

The new company’s flagship software line, Nuke, is Digital Domain’s Academy Award-winning compositing tool that operates on NT, Linux and IRIX platforms. It was used on every Digital Domain project from True Lies to Titanic to Triple X.

Nuke 3.0 Availability:
