Proving again that animation can save lives, Educational Adventures has teamed with fire safety products manufacturer Kidde to launch a new national, multi-year sponsorship campaign designed to further fire safety awareness. A series of commercials and public service announcements will feature characters from Education Adventures’ popular children’s animated safety series Danger Rangers.
The campaign will aim to educate families about the need for smoke alarms and fire escape plans through various video pieces. A series of 30-second public service spots will be incorporated into the Danger Rangers programming available on Video On Demand, and will be accompanied by 15-second fire safety tags and three 30-second commercials promoting Kidde products. Danger Rangers characters will also be featured in community outreach events co-sponsored by the two companies.
‘Fire and burns are the leading cause of unintentional injury among elementary school-aged children,’ says Chris Rovenstine, VP of marketing for Kidde Residential & Commercial. ‘The Danger Rangers deliver ‘can do’ action-adventure fire safety messages that empower children and families to make life-saving safety decisions.’
In addition to the animated television series available on public television stations and VOD outlets, the Danger Rangers property consists of a line of bestselling books, original safety-themed music and a collection of DVDs that are at the forefront of a growing child safety movement. Charlotte, North Carolina-based Educational Adventures is also producing an ongoing series of one-minute safety features on XM Satellite Radio.
