Disney confirmed 3-D versions of the Pixar classics Toy Story and Toy Story 2 will be released as a double feature for a limited, two-week run on Oct. 2.
The announcement, one of many made to exhibitors at the annual ShoWest convention in Las Vegas, changed plans to release the films separately as the studio builds up to the June 18, 2010 release of Toy Story 3 in 3-D.
The studio also discussed the new 3-D version of Beauty and the Beast, due in theaters Feb. 12, 2010.
Other 3-D projects in the studio’s pipeline include Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, due March 5; Robert Zemeckis’ performance-capture take on A Christmas Carol; and Tron 2.0, which is set to begin production in a few weeks.

Awesome; Toy Story is one of the best computer/animation films. The story the music the jokes ...ok, it has it all.
