Cartoon Tributes Nominees Named

Cartoon Forum, the European Association of Animation Film, has announced this year’s nominees for Cartoon Tributes, an award ceremony to be held on Sept 19 during the 19th annual Cartoon Forum in the German city of Ludwigsburg. Now in its third year, the Cartoon Tributes aspect of the market will recognize companies for their contributions to the development of the European animation industry.

Leading nominations in the three Cartoon Tributes categories are companies from France, Germany and the U.K. The winners in each of the three categories will be selected from more than 750 participants presenting at this year’s Cartoon Forum.

The 19th edition of Cartoon Forum is being held Sept. 16-19 in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany. The main partners of Cartoon Forum 2008 are the EU MEDIA Programme, Baden-Wurttemberg Staatsministerium, Stadt Ludwigsburg, Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart (WRS), Filmförderung Baden-Wurttemberg (MFG) and the Filmakademie Baden-Wurttemberg.
