Having served as head of Warner Bros. Animation for just 10 months, Lisa Judson is stepping down. According to Daily Variety, she has opted to return to New York after relocating to Los Angeles to take on the job. With her departure, Warner Bros. Television president Peter Roth will assume responsibility for all non-feature animation, including the upcoming Cartoon network series The Brave and the Bold.

In June of 2007, Judson replaced Sander Schwartz, who led Warner Bros.’ animation division since 2001 and left the post to pursue a multi-tiered production pact with the studio. Prior to joining Warner Bros., Judson served as senior VP of marketing at AOL and spent nine years at Nickelodeon, serving as senior VP of programming and exec creative director of marketing. She also played a key role in launching Nickelodeon’s feature film ventures with The Rugrats Movie, which became the first non-Disney feature to break $100 million at the U.S. box office.

In addition to animated television shows, Roth will oversee Warner Bros. Animation’s straight-to-DVD and online/new media projects starting June 1. He will also have a hand in creating live-action series based on the studio’s animated properties. His experience in children’s television goes back to an exec stint at ABC that spanned the mid-1970s and mid-80s.

Warner Brothers-Please bring back your stores and great merchandise to the internet and retail stores, perhaps in collaboration with an existing large store chain. Adult merchandise is sorely needed. You offered cells and limited editions also. Bring them back. It helps adults to pass on to their children the great characters such as Bugs, Taz, Daffy, etc. Bring back to the networks those great old cartoons on a regular basis. One Froggy Evening, the Elmer-Bugs-Daffy films, etc. We love them.

How does that company keep discovering one genius executive after another? And they are so good in their positions, they destroy everything and then leave. What a track record! I can\'t wait to see how Roth tops this last prize catch. You can bet he won\'t disappoint.
