The winners of this year’s Modesto-based California International Animation Festival will take home special 2D and 3D software from the generous folks at Toon Boom Studios.

The line-up for the 2008 California International Animation Festival has begun to take shape, though entries are still accepted through the May 15 final closing date. Among this year’s showcased projects are Arizona-based Fat Cat Animation’s feature The Coyote and the Tortoise, Sooyun Jang’s Street Musician and Anabela Costa’s LIQST_Liquid State.

Entries are still being accepted through the festival’s website at www.CalAniFest.com or through Without A Box (www.withoutabox.com) and Reelport (www.reelport.com).

Screenings begin at 10 a.m. at the historic State Theatre in downtown Modesto and continue until approximately 8 p.m. For tickets or more information, visit the website at www.CalAniFest.com or call 209-537-5221.
