Wineman to Head Original Series for Jetix Europe

Jetix Europe has hired Daniel Wineman to the newly created position of director of original series and co-productions. He joins the organization from Cartoon Network and Boomerang in the U.S., where he most recently served as director of acquisitions and co-productions.

Reporting to Marc Buhaj, senior VP of programming for Jetix Europe, Wineman will be in charge of all creative aspects of Jetix Europe’s original series and co-productions. He and his team will work to ensure that the Jetix vision and brand consistency are carried throughout the development and production process.

“Daniel is extremely well-respected by his peers across the globe,” says Buhaj. “In his role as director of original series and co-productions he will play a vital role in our current and future projects. We are all very much looking forward to working with him.”

Wineman spent ten years at Cartoon Network. He started his career working for The New York Times.
