Amberwood Prods. and Belgium’s Studio100 have joined forces to co-produce a new animated children’s series titled Super Mega Hyper Pets. Produced entirely in HD, the 2D action comedy is packaged as 26 half-hour episodes or 52 11-minute stories for kids 4-6.
Super Mega Hyper Pets follows the adventures of eight-year-old Timmy Jones and his pets Spike, Fuzzy and Julius. Though ordinary-looking to most, each member of the team possess a powerful ability, along with a special suit and a tricked-out vehicle that combines with the others to form the world’s most dynamic tool in protecting every-day life.
Amberwood is a producer, financier and distributor whose toon properties include The Secret World of Benjamin Bear, Hoze Houndz, Zeroman and Katie and Orbie. The company recently signed a co-production agreement with Canadian comic book publisher Arcana Studio to develop and produce a television series based on Arcana’s Ralph Filmore: Paranormal Investigator. In addition, Amberwood’s RollBots has been commissioned by Canadian broadcaster YTV and 26 half hours are now in production.
Studio100 is a major provider of family entertainment in the Benelux. The company's TV shows target kids 1-12 and are broadcast on the leading national public and commercial networks both in Belgium and in the Netherlands. The entity’s newly formed subsidiary Studio100 Media NV & Co. KG has acquired extensive distribution rights to the animated series Balloontoons (Russian title Smeshariki) from German licensor FunGameMedia GmbH.
