Cartoon Net Unveils Batman, Renews Chowder

During today’s Upfront presentation in New York City, Cartoon Network shined a spotlight on its 2008-2009 lineup, which will include an all-new Batman series titled Batman: The Brave and the Bold and a second season of the network’s original hit series Chowder from creator Carl H. Greenblatt. Lucasfilm founder George Lucas was on hand to help promote his new CG-animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which will air on Fridays this fall after an August theatrical release of the first three or four episodes.
Few details of the new Batman series were unveiled with the announcement. The show will carry on the Dark Knight’s crime-fighting crusade following the recent series finale of the Emmy-winning The Batman. Cartoon Network is also expanding its action portfolio with a sequel to last fall’s hit live-action movie Ben 10: Race Against Time. Based on the animated series, the first live-action Ben 10 movie was the highest-rated telecast in Cartoon Network history. The new adventure is dubbed Ben 10: Alien Force.
The Annie-nominated Chowder premiered in November and has been a hit with kids and adults alike. The show takes young viewers to the magical city of Marzipan, where a young chef’s apprenticeship deals with surreal situations and potential disasters on the road to becoming a great chef himself. Young Chowder toils under the watchful eye of the eccentric and much older Mung Daal, assisting with such kitchen duties as cooking Sing Beans until they warble on key, nursing a bruised Bluenana back to health, or delivering a thousand-pound cake to a man who lives on the head of a giant. Heavily influenced by the art of famed cartoonist Sergio Aragonés, the show’s animation is mostly hand drawn by Hong Ying in China, which was selected as the official animation studio by the Beijing Olympics. The show also features stop-motion inserts animated by Screen Novelties in Hollywood.
Cartoon Network’s new programming strategy incorporates a Sunday-night movie franchise offering such features as Ant Bully, Hoodwinked, Monster House and Open Season starting in June; two new nights of original programming; the launch of a pilot development program called The Cartoonstitute; and a continued commitment to healthy living through its “Get Animated” initiative.

I must admit having triplets is quite overwhelming but the Dr said I need plenty of bed rest beacuse he is going to preform an emergency c-section next week. He thinks the babies are in danger and I may be at risk of losing them. Someone is trying to hurt them!

I have been dilated at 5 centimeters and dealing with the contractions for to long. He detected through an ultra sound that their is a nasty umbilical cord that is trying to stangle the babies which is causing fetal distress. He said we can try to induce the labor but that would only jeopordize the babies. He said the cord is already wrapped around the neck....He said the best bet is to go in there and sever the cord completely and to dispose of it asap and if not it will be life threatening...That umbilical cord is going to the dumster and never coming back. It has no right to jeopordize my babies lives like that...

It’s everywhere when we start to alert ourselves to it, I believe. I also suspect it is very closely interlinked with the synchronicities which manifest as real time things for us... eg: you sending the email to me about your book, just as I’m about to send this info to another friend.
Today I had also decided to see if I can contact the author, as I do know people who would have known her but they are all very old. The book was published in 1975 and she could be 50 in the photo…so I’m not sure if she’s even still alive…but WOW did she go out on a limb for educating people to emerge as much more aware individuals, (today they’d call it a new consciousness) but she didn’t descend to any shouting or platform parading a la the Donald Trumps TV reality trash, etc, she does it in such a beautiful way. She obviously believed in the true magnificence that is to there just waiting to be set alight in the individual and is a precursor of your opening line…it is the same magnificence and inspiration that built a country like the US, and the same impetus is in the other civilizations built on the highest values but then… the very precious ethics and ideals the great forebears struggled for and established in America and elsewhere (New Zealand , Australia no exception) we see trashed and most times can only cry…but her words dry the tears and bring us such fire seeds to try to fan once more

It\'s hard to answer in generalities without a specific situation. But generally, film and TV treatments (that would mean for movies, not TV series) that are written for sales purposes tend to be short, say two-ten pages. The theory is that buyers don\'t have much attention span and have lots to read, so keep it short. On the other hand, a very long treatment for someone who already has evinced interest might clinch a deal.
There\'s a difference between a treatment written to sell something and one written to get the story down and understood by the writer and anyone else (star, director, etc.) involved in a project. One not for selling might be much longer and more detailed. As to characters, I would say all the really major characters would probably be mentioned in even a short treatment, but that\'s not really important. What\'s important is getting across the flavor and tone of the story and protagonist and one or two other key characters
