Daily Variety reports that Susanne Schosser has stepped down as managing director of EM.Entertainment, the children’s programming division of EM.Sport Media. The unit, which was once the core of EM.TV, is on the auction block now that the company has decided to focus on sports rights, production and broadcasting. EM.Sport Media has reportedly had trouble finding suitors and has dropped the price from $132 million to $59 million.

Schosser joined EM.TV in 2005, and took over as managing director in 2006 when Patrick Elmendorff left to pursue other opportunities after seven years at the post. Schosser previously served as head of programming at German children’s programming network Super RTL. In her absence, EM.Sport president Werner Klatten will oversee operations at EM.Entertainment, which has seen net profit fall from $4.5 million last year to $880,000 this year.

EM. Entertainment’s distribution library includes the animated kid shows Master Raindrop, a co-production with Big Communications and Flux Animation Studio; Zigby from Greenpatch Prods., Big Communications and Thunderbird Films; Croco Loco, a co-production between EM.Entertainment and Peekaboo Prods. GmbH; Staines Down Drains from Flying Bark Prods.; and Zeke’s Pad, produced My Pad Prods. Inc., a partnership between Bardel Ent., Leaping Lizard Prods. Inc. and Avrill Stark Ent. PTY. Ltd, a division of Flying Bark Prods.

The woman was a dimwit. She preferred to talk about hair salons rather than actual business. Her legacy is clear in the article.
