Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) announced that Nick Jr. master toy licensee Fisher-Price will launch a full toy line for the hit animated preschool series The Wonder Pets! in the fall of 2008. In addition, partner Ty Inc. will produce Wonder Pets! Beanie Babies and other plush products to be available at retail around the same time.
The first Wonder Pets! DVD and a music CD featuring full-length versions of the songs from the first season debuted in April of 2007 and both hit high on sales charts. NVCP is hoping for similar success with a line of books to be published by Random House and Simon & Schuster in the spring of 2008. The division is also seeking partners to develop products across other categories, including home, sportswear, sleepwear, accessories and interactive.
The Wonder Pets! premiered on Nick Jr. in March of 2006 and has become one of the top-five series on commercial television for kids 2-5. The mini-operetta follows three singing classroom pets—Linny the Guinea Pig, Ming-Ming Duckling and Turtle Tuck—who, at the end of the school day, go into superhero mode and travel the world helping baby animals in distress. The show is created and execu produced by Josh Selig of Little Airplane Prods. and features music from Tony Award-winning and nominated Broadway composers.

My daughter loves The Wonder Pets! However there are hardly ever any new episodes. There are even episodes that supposedly were made in 2006 that have never aired. And the only toys available are second rate stuffed animals that don\'t really even look like them! I am very disappointed to hear that a toy line will not be available until Fall 2008! Hopefully children out there will not lose interest in this show before then, as this is more than a year out.

Fall 2008 does seem redicuously long given that most anything is readily available. I believe this is, once again, marketing strategies to boost hype, create demand and justify outrageous prices!!! As a new mom, I am torn between spoiling my child and emptying my pockets. D&@?! you marketiers.

I also feel that fall 2008 is too long to wait. My two year old loves the wonder pets more than any other nick cartoon, however, I feel as though she\\\'ll be burned out on repeat episodes and lack of toys by then. Kids do have a short attention span afterall.

Fall 2008!!! Are you crazy?
My 2 year old son John-Tyler LOVES the Wonder Pets!!! He loves them more than Thomas the Tank Engine and friends. ( he has every train, construction equipment, bus, car, and helicopter, plus every train play pack including the expensive wooden ones and even the ones from Target!) He loves The Wonder Pets more than The Little Einsteins. He is even wearing a Little Einstein polo shirt and overalls while watching the Wonder Pets DVD as I type. So, what I\\\'m trying to convey is he asks to watch the Wonder Pets ALL THE TIME. (Over all other DVDS or shows.) The Wonder Pets are his absolute FAVORITE. So, PLEASE release good quality toys that actually look like the characters. Don\\\'t cheapen a class act show with \\\"crummy\\\" looking toys. Also, The Wonder Pets clothes and blankets would be welcomed with great excitement. You will have a great customer who will purchase EVERTHING Wonder Pets. Please don\\\'t make us wait a whole year. What if my son isn\\\'t asking for The Wonder Pets in a year? To quote Ming Ming duckling, \\\"This is SERIOUS!\\\"

I too have a three year old that loves wonder pets, but making my own child wait a whole year to buy Wonder Pets Toys is stupid. My child might lose interest by then.
I am highly disappointed!

My 2 and a half year old girl loves Wonder Pets and has asked Father Christmas to bring her a Ming Ming. What am I supposed to say to her, \'not this Xmas but next Xmas you might get one\'. What a disappointment. And how much are they charging for those 12\" stuffed toys that look nothing like the characters and will probably give her nightmares!

My 3 year old grandson loves wonder pets ,and I cannot find anything for him, that is really sad, also reading that they will come out in fall of 2008 is just crazy, you should have been already working on this last year, ( which I could not find anything either) shame on you! I agree the kids will move on into other shows by then, and lose interest. dumb move waiting so long to roll with this one...... disappointed in Michigan....

I had this same problem with DORA!!! They wait too long to put out the toys, however.... look at how well Dora has done! They must think Wonder Pets are going to do well. My daughter is sad she can\'t have a toy of them though! I remember paying 50 bucks on Ebay for a hooded towel of Dora when she first came out because nothing else of her was being sold!

I live in the uk and agree with all the above we should all email Little Airplane this is madness the kids are desperate for the toys and I agree the pulsh ones sold on nick jnr are frightening. They have so missed amassive gap in the markets not launching alot more in the uk as well with Christmas upon us. I may attempt to make a ming ming and tck as the lady had in the link! I had thought this before but really thought the toys would be availiable to buy sooner than this! Come on Little Airplane and makers of toys you are missing out on making lots of money.

OK, I agree with what everyone here has said so far. Fall 2008 is too long to wait for these toys. But I have it REALLY bad! I have triplets, that\'s right, three 3 year old boys. And I\'m scared of what\'s going to happen if I don\'t come home with wonder pets soon. They\'ve got us outnumbered, and thanks to this show, they\'ve learned all about teamwork. Yesterday there were three missing from the knife block. I tried buying them those 12\" stuffed toys, but they didn\'t work at all. All they kept saying was no that these aren\'t the wonder pets and they broke my favorite lamp. I hope they come out soon! They might not even like the wonder pets anymore when these things finally come out!

hi my 2year old daughter loves the wonder pets and i carnt even get a single dvd for her. as for there being nothing out of the wonder pets as of yet is a huge disappointment to all those babys/children who love them. I would like to see some clothes being sold to but starting from an early age as my daughter is 2 but is only in 12-18month clothes. Would buy loads of the wonderpets stuff as she loves it that much.
