Consumer products licensing for Geronimo Stilton has been granted to Taffy Entertainment. Taffy signed the deal with Italy's Atlantyca Entertainment yesterday. Geronimo Stilton is an animated TV series, based on the award-winning international kids' chapter book series of the same name. Taffy will handle worldwide licensing and promotional rights to the series, except for worldwide publishing and all licensing in Italy. Those rights will continue to be held by original rights-holder Atlantyca.

Geronimo Stilton is a co-prod deal between Atlantyca, Canada's 9 Story Entertainment and France-based MoonScoop Productions.

"Geronimo Stilton has become one of the most beloved children's book series world wide,” says Pietro Marietti, chairman of Atlantyca Entertainment. “One of our initial objectives was to find a consumer products partner that both shared our passion for (the series) and has the right team in place to implement a strong licensing program on a global basis.”

The Geronimo Stilton books were first published in May 2000 and have sold over 14 million in Italy alone. The books have been translated into 29 languages and are available in over 175 countries.

Taffy Entertainment is a leading worldwide distribution, brand management and entertainment company representing brands from some of the largest animation producers across the globe. This includes Mike Young Productions, MoonScoop Productions and select properties from third parties.
