Following its success worldwide on the Playhouse Disney and Disney Channels, the learning-focused, CG-animated preschool series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is about to attract yet more young fans.
Disney’s Buena Vista International Television has announced the licensing of the series to free TV networks and channels in over 80 territories outside of the U.S., including seven major free-to-air broadcasters in the Asia Pacific region.
“We’re delighted to introduce a whole new audience of preschoolers to (the show),” says Laurie Younger, president, Buena Vista Worldwide Television. “It’s a vibrant and interactive series that combines Disney classic characters with state-of-the art 3D computer animation.”
New licensees include GMTV in the UK, Seven Network Australia, TVNZ New Zealand, TF1 France, Super RTL Germany, RAI in Italy, TVE Spain, Channel One Russia, RTE Ireland, Fiji TV, Kids Central Singapore, TVB Pearl Hong Kong, TV3 Malaysia and KBS Korea.
