Alphanim’s Potatoes & Dragons, a 7x78 series that will begin airing on France 3 early next year, has already landed a publishing deal. Hachette Jeunesse will put out ten illustrated novels and game books based on the series as part of its Bibliothèque Rose collection.
Founded in 1850, Hachette Jeuness has for several years been partnering with such animated series as Bob the Builder, Franklin, Witch and Totally Spies, who sought to jump-start their French careers.
Potatoes & Dragons has so far been picked up by RTBF Belgium, TSR Switzerland, Mediaset Italy, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Disney Channel in Asia among others.
