Voice of Top Cat Arnold Stang Dies

Actor Arnold Stang, whose memorable voice work as Top Cat on the 1960s animated series stands out amid a career that began in the 1940s, has died at the age of 91.
Stang, who died of pneumonia near his home in Massachusetts, played along side such well-known actors as Milton Berle and Frank Sinatra throughout his long career. He was best known for playing nerdy characters.
Radio was where Stang got his start, and he continued to do voice work for commercials and cartoons throughout his career. Among the shows he contributed to were Garfield and Friends, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Herman and Katnip.
In addition to his wife, JoAnne, Stang is survived by son David and daughter Deborah.
Funeral services are private.

I was a HUGE fan of his work, paticularly Top Cat, Courage the cowardly dog and Garfield. I\'m not sure who he played in the latter two, but I LOVED the \"wiseguy\" voice he gave Top Cat. Mr.Stang, thank you for all the laughs, and may you rest in peace.
