Battle for Terra DVD/Blu-ray Out in September

If you missed the indie. CG-animated feature Battle for Terra in theaters this summer, you’ll have a chance to view the well-received pic at home on September 22, when Lionsgate Entertainment releases it on DVD and Blu-ray.
Directed by Aristomenis Tsirbas, the sci-fi adventure won the Grand Prize for Best Animated Feature at the 2008 Ottawa International Festival. The movie features a top-notch cast that includes Evan Rachel Wood, Luke Wilson, Dennis Quaid, Danny Glover and James Garner. The storyline centers on the friendship between a rebellious young girl from the planet Terra (Wood) and a human pilot (Wilson) who visits the planet in an aging spaceship from Earth.
The DVD and Blu-ray discs include a “Making of Battle for Terra” featurette, audio commentary by the director, deleted scenes, original storyboards and theatrical trailer. Battle for Terra will be available on DVD in limited edition, collectible lenticular o-card packaging for the suggested retail price of $19.98 and on Blu-ray Disc in holo-foil wrap for $29.99.
