HIT Entertainment has signed three licensees in key toy areas for the animated series Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps, a new series airing on PBS Kids.

Madame Alexander, The Toy Workshop and Rubie’s Costume Co. will produce dolls, toys, costumes, room décor and specialty items based on the series starting this autumn and continuing into the spring. The items will debut in tandem with the launch of the series, which is the most recent version of the girls brand.

Under the deal, Madame Alexander will make specialty plush, figurines, soft play sets and dolls; The Toy Workshop will offer room décor, dolls houses, and wooden furniture, including child-sized chairs, tables and wooden toys; while Rubie’s Costume Co. will present costumes, dress-up, and treat bags and pails

The items will be featured along with the classic Angelina Ballerina hardcover books published by Viking Books, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers Group at specialty stores around the country.

Angelina Ballerina is a beloved brand for more than 25 years, and Angelina is a true role model to young girls who are inspired to pursue their big dreams too,” said Gary Krakower, senior VP of U.S. licensing and live events for HIT Entertainment. “We are excited to work with these gold-standard partners to introduce the new Angelina to consumers at retail, and we are sure little girls and their parents will embrace these products, as Angelina embraces dance – with enthusiasm and creativity.”
