Morrill Named President of DisneyToon Studios

Formerly executive VP DisneyToon Studios, Sharon Morrill has been promoted to president of the Mouse Houses newly formed division for video premiere releases and theatrical features, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She reports to Walt Disney Feature Animation president David Stainton.
Upcoming productions to be overseen by Morrill include Mulan 2, The Three Musketeers and the CG makeover movie Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas. Among her past projects are The Lion King 1 1/2, 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure, Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, Springtime With Roo, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride and Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas.
Morrills tenure with the company began in 1993 when she was hired as director of specials for Walt Disney Television Animation. In 1995, she was made VP of specials and direct-to-video before making senior VP in 1997 and exec Vp in 1998.
